Bluebells, Courtyard Crafts and Greek Mezze

Come and enjoy the Spring Bank Holiday in the woods - pop-up food, local drinks, bluebells, arts and crafts and ten year anniversary exhibition in The Barn.

  • Mediterranean Mezze Food (serving from 1pm) by the wonderful Nina Green - delicious plant-based pittas with slow roasted organic veggies, fresh salads and insane toppings plus a few other Greek delicacies.

  • Old Tree Bar (serving from 1pm) - the best drinks in East Sussex - locally foraged ingredients and slow fermentation!

  • Exhibition of our 10 years, 10 buildings 10,000 volunteers in the Lower Barn

  • Arts and Crafts in the Courtyard (making from 11am-3pm) come and watch or get involved with our amazingly talented member makers who will be making items to celebrate Dan and Emily’s 10 year anniversary of life in the woods:

    • Nick Booth making a swinging bench for the bottom of the wood

    • Kent Thodsen making stirring spoons for The Hatch

    • Mark Smith turning wooden handles for the Apprentice Cabin

    • Adele Scantlebury making clay flower pots

    • Lynda Laird making nature inspired cyanotype bunting

      The woods close to the public at 4pm for a members party in the evening.
