Our beautiful shepherd’s hut was designed and built at the wood. It is available to hire for a couple or a family. It has one permanent double bed with a view to the stars and another which converts into a table. There is also a wood-burning stove for colder nights.
Outside there is a fire-pit, grill, running water, sheltered food preparation area, a compost toilet, and picnic table.
For a stay in Holly Hut, you need to bring:
matches or other equipment for fire-lighting
candles and torches - there is no electricity
food, drink and cooking equipment - there is running mains water and we provide basic kitchen equipment (4 plates, sets of cutlery, glasses, a big pan, a frying pan, and a bowl for washing up)
bedding and bed linen for the two double beds
towel - you can wash in our beautiful Bath House which is a couple of minute’s walk away
toilet roll for the compost toilet
Cost is £100 for a weekend night or holiday week-day night and £75 for a term-time week-day night including firewood and kindling.
Check in is from 2pm and check out is by 11am - although you are welcome to spend time in the wood before or after these times!
