Dan Morrish ARB takes commissions for the design and build principally of timber buildings and structures including:

garden studios

furniture - tables, bookshelves, bespoke benches

My approach is to work with the materials and people where you are. Any design and build commission starts with a discussion of how this approach works in your context.
Initial meeting on site – I can help you develop your ideas into an outline scheme, explain the likely legal and practical considerations, and generate an initial concept sketch to provide a visual resume of the ideas we generate together: £500
Design consultation work - after the initial meeting, I can help you work up a more detailed scheme suitable for planning and costing purposes at an hourly rate of £125 (I will be able to give an indication of the likely time implication of each stage of a project).
On-site co-building with you and your team - I can attend on agreed days to advise and lead teams on particular phases of the build: £500/day
For projects of a value above 500K, I can offer architectural services for planning applications, tender packages, building control submissions and project management of the building phase based on 5-6% of the build value.
