Woodland trail

Our A to Z trail runs around the perimeter of the wood and takes about 45 minutes - longer if you are with a curious toddler and shorter if you are keeping up with your dog.

The trail takes you through many and varied types of woodland at different stages of growth - with bluebells in spring, chestnuts in autumn and beautiful views out in winter when there are no leaves.

Along the way, there are also play structures, art works, leaky dams and amazing woodland architecture - created by members of all ages.

The trail is steep and muddy in parts, however there are shorter, more accessible parts of the trail near the main hub - just ask someone at the Barn or nearby for advice.

Admission for non-members is £4 per person or £15 per family/household. You can pay and collect a map at The Hatch.

Help us look after the wood and each other by following our Code of Conduct. Please take all rubbish away with you. Friendly dogs are welcome, but please, please do not leave us dog-poo bags hung on trees - either stick-and-flick dog poo if you are deep in the wood, or bag it and take it away with you if you are near the hub.
