Shepherd’s Huts are go!

There is a lot of preparation going on at the moment getting ready for the start of building not one, but three shepherd’s huts here at the wood this spring/summer.

One of the huts will be used for our regular residential volunteers, one for an external client who got in touch after enjoying a stay in Holly Hut and the other for member Katy Wisefone, who will be setting up her Wise Herb Apothecary on site, with a consultation room and shop selling herbal remedies and woodland products.

The project is being led by Joanna, our architect in residence and Bea, our artist in residence - a positive and exciting step towards righting the male heavy balance on building projects in the wood!
