Andrew Coates has worked at the woods for over 30 years. He builds and installs beautiful chestnut furniture and fencing, as well as supplying other coppice-wood products and bulk firewood deliveries to the local area.

Gazza runs bushcraft and nature connection courses from the woods and elsewhere - a skilled bushman and forager, attending his courses are a great way to connect with the woods.

Dan has designed and built all the wooden structures you see in the woods. Having worked as an architect for many years, he is also available to commission for outside work, designing and building.

Martin and Simon are artists who often contribute their work to the woods, and also feature regularly at Wakehurst Place’s ‘Glow Wild’ event. They are part of the Blackbird Arts collective along with Adele Scantlebury.

Sam can fix, set up and build guitars from his workshop. Having got married here a few years back, Sam and Emma are now a firm friendly fixture here at the woods!
