Woodglade - Sheltered Fire Circle
This sheltered fire circle deep in the wood was built in 2018 for Roots and Wings, a rites of passage group for 12-13 year old girls.
Hire Woodglade as a base for your group for the day.
It has a beautiful, sheltered fire-circle made from coppiced chestnut and woven birch, a fire-pit, grill and nearby compost toilet. There is space to pitch a tent nearby or put up a hammock.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk down there and is a steep climb back up the hill, so pack light. There is no drinking water but you can fill up your bottles up top in the Cook House or at the Bath House.
Price is £50 to hire the space for 3-4 hours for up to 10 people or over-night is £50 plus £5.00/per person (small groups only). Price includes a barrow of firewood.
Please note - although deep in our wood, you are perhaps closer to our neighbours than you might think. This area is not suitable for night time parties.
