From sapling to cabin

It was a very special occassion, when Chris and Anne Yarrow came to stay in the newly finished cabin. Chris and Anne owned and lived at the woods for over 30 years, and Chris was responsible for planting many of the new mature trees you can see when you come for a visit.

With the building of the cabins, Dumbledore and Yaffle, we have aimed to use wood from the woods whenever possible, so that they really do fit to their surroundings. To have the forester who planted the trees come to stay is a lovely way to mark the full circle of their growth.
