Horreo Cabin #1 Completion

It really was an unbelievable day when we closed the door of Dumbledore (Horreo cabin #1); floors swept, windows cleaned, beds made and guests arriving. It was finished! The team worked tirelessly for months, for some a whole year, and the day had finally come, to pack up tools, have a cold beer and celebrate the completion of the first Horreo cabin built here at Wilderness Wood. That was for a month at least, when the team will come back and crack on with finishing number 2!

Dumbledore, which is the old Sussex name for a bumblebee, is the first fully accessible cabin here in the woods and we are beyond proud of it. Dan truly has designed an incredible space and with his amazing brain for design, combined with the immense accumulation of skills within the team, an incredible structure has been built.

Words of thanks will be endless, so I won’t mention everyone here but to absolutely everyone who has placed a hand during the building of Dumbledore, thank you, we couldn’t have done it without you, you are all wonderful. When you visit next, please have a peak at the cabin and keep an eye on our newsletter and social media for news about when it will be open for bookings.

Here is a little sneak peak of Dumbleore.
