Spiked rampion survives rabbits – just about

A reintroduction of the endangered Spiked Rampion took place at Wilderness Wood back in November 2019, and following some fairly serious rabbit grazing a third of the plants have been found alive and are now being protected by natural fencing. Alongside the team at Wilderness, the Species Recovery Trust will be monitoring the population and protecting them against rabbit grazing in an attempt to establish a viable, self-sustaining population. With only extant 8 sites in the country, this is a really great success!
