Summer Friday Club for Member families

Friday Club is a well-established institution at Wilderness Wood  – a group of home-educating and flexi-schooling families who meet weekly to make, create, help out, share skills, sing and dance!  This year – in response to the corona virus situation – we would like to extend Friday Club to other member kids who are not at school and can arrange their schedule to be free for all or part of  Friday.  And we will continue into August as an alternative to our summer working-with-wood-week.  We will offer various outdoor, small group activities (where social distancing is possible).  Movement Warriors will offer dance workshops in the morning.  We will have packed lunches in the paddocks.  And there will be various other creative and fun workshops and activities offered by different members of the wood: for example, tree-house construction with Aidan Chitty; the ‘stick laboratory’ with Simon Page; log splitting and stacking with Jake Reed; gardening and drama with Kate Forester; art workshops with Katherine Morton and Maddie  Jessel…

There will be some costs for some of the workshops (for example, Movement Warriors) but others will be on a Pay As You Feel basis with funds going towards the woods.

Contact emilyanddan@wildernesswood.org if you’d like to come along as numbers will be limited in order to ensure small group sizes.
